Our History

Ever Sick! Consulting grew from a simple idea: community care, cultural resurgence, and creative expression belong together. Founded by Jordyn Angeconeb, a Two-Spirit, Anishinaabe leader belonging to Obishikokaang First Nation, Ever Sick! began as a commitment to support Indigenous youth, 2SLGBTQQIA+ communities, and northern regions through drag and community programming.

In August 2022, Ever Sick! hosted Drag on the Rez in Batchewana First Nation – Rankin Reserve, featuring an all-Indigenous Two-Spirit cast. That first show set the tone for what Ever Sick! would become. Since then, the team has travelled across the prairies, Michigan, and Ontario, creating safe, affirming spaces in communities that often go without them.

As the work expanded, Ever Sick! evolved into Ever Sick! Consulting – now recognized as a rising Two-Spirit & Woman-led consulting agency in Treaty #3. Our work includes policy review, talent management, program development, workshops, advocacy, and traditional knowledge. Every project we manage honours cultural safety, community leadership, and practical support.

Today, Ever Sick! Consulting continues to prioritize advocacy for 2SLGBTQQIA+ community members in our catchment area and provide organizational support to Tribal Councils, Governments, Health Authorities, and other large-scale businesses through workshops and trainings. What started as a single event has become a platform for community, creativity, education, and meaningful change.

Christina Bekintis, belonging to Ketegaunseebee First Nation, joined the team as our Traditional Knowledge Programs Manager in February 2026. She provides support in providing traditional teachings, painting workshops, and ceremonies in an inclusive environment.
